Terms of Service

Agreement
By using FestivalOS (the mobile app, the web dashboard at festival-os.com, and related services), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
The service
FestivalOS is an event companion platform operated by Automated Software Systems LLC ("ASSL," "we," "us"). The mobile app lets attendees of outdoor events view schedules, maps, and real-time announcements. The web dashboard lets event organizers publish event content and send announcements to attendees.
Attendee use
Use of the mobile app is free. No account is required. By entering an event code, you agree to receive the event's content (schedule, map, announcements, push notifications if enabled) as published by that event's organizer.
Organizer accounts and responsibilities
If you register as an organizer on festival-os.com, you are responsible for:
- The accuracy and appropriateness of all content you publish for your events
- Obtaining permission for any third-party content (sponsor logos, images, trademarks) you upload
- Not using the platform to send unsolicited messages, spam, or content that violates any law
- Not using the platform to distribute unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or infringing content
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any organizer account that violates these terms.
Intellectual property
FestivalOS, the FestivalOS name and logo, the mobile app, and the festival-os.com website are the property of Automated Software Systems LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the service.
You retain ownership of any content you (as an organizer) publish through the service. By publishing content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display that content to attendees of your event as part of delivering the service.
Prohibited uses
Do not use FestivalOS to:
- Violate any law or regulation
- Infringe anyone's intellectual property rights
- Send spam, harassment, or unsolicited communications
- Interfere with the security or operation of the service
- Impersonate any person or organization
- Scrape, data-mine, or reverse-engineer the service
Disclaimer of warranties
FestivalOS is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any specific time. Event content published by organizers is the responsibility of those organizers; we are not responsible for accuracy, safety decisions, or outcomes at any event.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Automated Software Systems LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months (which, for free attendee use, is zero).
Indemnification
Organizers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Automated Software Systems LLC from any claim arising from content they publish, events they host, or their use of the service in violation of these terms.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time by deleting the app or closing your organizer account. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Madison County, Nebraska, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
